The Broke and The Bookish blog hosts a weekly meme called Top Ten Tuesdays. This week’s topic is Top Ten Websites I Love That Aren’t About Books!
In no particular order:
www.brittanyherself.comBrittany Gibbons is a body love advocate who promotes self-love and love of all women through her website. She is witty and hilarious. You should totally grab yourself a copy of her memoir, Fat Girl Walking.
+5 Charisma, the International Geek Girl Pen Pal Club blog, is great. Okay, so sometimes they mention books, but it is about so much more than that! There are movie and tv reviews, fitness challenges (geeky, of course) and everyday cosplay. It’s great!
The Shadow Manor’s blog, The Art of Darkness is a great place to get your Halloween fix all year. Cobwebs (the blog hostess) is a twin soul, who also had a Halloween wedding (like me!) With her awesome link dumps, hilarious seen online, and super tough Trivia Tuesdays, it is worth checking out for sure!
This is a new blog I recently started following. I discovered it through a Facebook group for geek girl bloggers that I am in. A Geek Girl’s Guide is pretty awesome, it features comics, fandoms, tabletop gaming, and more!
The Bloggess. If you aren’t following her already, what are you even doing with your life! Jenny Lawson is super witty, filled with dark humor, and honest things no one else is willing to say. I love this blog, and recently picked up her first memoir, (Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir) but she recently released her second book (Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things).
Paper Droids is geeky girls online magazine, that has a variety of topics that would interest any nerd.
The Nerdy Girlie is a cute website that does everyday cosplay and a fun meme called 5 fandom Friday. I also discovered this website through the Facebook group.
Another Facebook group discovery. CuppaGeek is a nerdy blog that reviews teas! I never know which teas to buy so this a great discovery!
Katsyxo is another blog I found from the Facebook group. On Wednesday afternoons she hosts a geeky blogger chat on Twitter. Her blog features some of all the things she loves like reading and video games.
Kayla’s blog Epicfied is fairly new. I also discovered her through the Facebook group, and we even did a book exchange for my other blog (Vivacious Hobo.) She does a fun Fandom Friday feature, and also does Mental Health Monday posts.
What are some non-bookish websites and blogs that you visit regularly? I’d love to add some sites to my list!
