Title: Unrest

Author: Wendy Higgins

Release Day: February 14th

About Unrest:

Being on the run in the desert means food and sanctuary are hard to come by, but Amber Tate and her crew are not about to give up. Not after having so many of the things they love brutally ripped from them by an unknown enemy who sent their world into the apocalypse.

Survival takes precedence, but once safe shelter is found, their guards fall and the emotions they’ve been holding in are finally released. Anger, insecurities…lust. In their tight quarters, Amber, Rylen, Tater, and Remy can’t escape it. The past must be faced, and passions run even stronger in the darkest of times.

In the midst of unrest, their worlds are rocked again when they discover the truth about the war that’s ruined their lives. They thought finding out the enemy’s identity would give them the edge; instead it’s revealed terrifying dangers they never thought possible.

My Review:

This was an excellent follow up to the first book! There was no middle man lag here. It starts off pretty much where book one left off. More doors are opened up in Unrest as we learn more about the unknown enemy, and there are some interesting facts that we learn!

I really liked Amber in this book. I feel like she is a strong and centered character, except when it comes to her feelings for Rylen. I wanted to shake her and tell her to just let him know how you feel!!! It had me on the edge of my seat! Rylen is the perfect love interest, and I loved him! Swoon! When the romance came, I was literally pumping my fist double time.

The Dystopian aspects in this book feel more real to me than any of the dystopian books I have read, and I am not sure if that is scary or awesome! I am going to go with awesome, but I hope it never happens!

The side characters I liked as well. It was hard and real seeing Tater go through his emotional state, and I hope in the next book things get sorted out for him. When the group gets to the bunker, I loved all those scenes! Overall this book was sooooo good! I need book three!
