My Review:

Since everyone and their mom loved this movie, I was like well, I guess I’ll watch it. I can’t remember the original TV film clearly except for Tim Curry’s character, and the bathroom scene with the girl from Ginger Snaps.

Let me just say I was… not super impressed. Some of the CGI was pretty annoying. I also get that this group of characters were kids, but some of them made some super moronic moves that as a kid, I would have never made. Going into rooms alone, leaving the group behind because you think you can do it… get real. I would have stayed hugging onto my friend’s shirt and taking care of business together!

My favorite aspects of the film wasn’t even the horror scenes, it was the group bond with the kids known as “The Losers.” I thought there were a lot of hilarious scenes with them. Jack Dylan Grazer, who played Eddie, was the best! I also really liked Sophia Lillis, and she played Bevery well—the bathroom scene was awesome!

I feel like Bill Skarsgard did a better job at luring the kid at the drain by appearing more child friendly than Curry’s clown I would have liked to see more of his acting skills, since most of the time he just pops out, but he did do a good job.

I am anxious to see the second chapter to see what happens next, but it won’t be out until 2019! I haven’t read the book, either! I just haven’t been impressed by a lot of movies in general lately, but I do recommend this one!

  1. Oooh, you’re a tough one aren’t you lol? Read the book. You will enjoy it so much more. The best scene for me, was the scene with Pennywise and Gorgie. Sooooo creepy! I think will get more dialogue from Pennywise in Chapter 2.

  2. I really enjoyed this – but I get what you mean. It’s like, if the freaking sink asks for help, maybe don’t?! Just an idea. Y’know. 😉

I went to see it with The Bestie, who had already been to see it once, and therefore knew when sh** was gonna jump out @ you, and was laughing her head off at me!
