Follow Damen, Laurent and the supporting characters of Captive Prince on a series of adventures set in and around the events of the novels – and beyond, to learn what happens after the final page in the trilogy is turned.
I love short stories but sometimes bonus short stories within a series are a hit or miss for me. However, I loved this so much!
Green but for a Season
This was a good little glimpse into Jord and I also liked the back-flashes with a young Laurent!
The Summer Palace
This was the perfect epilogue of sorts that I needed after the last book! I love Laurent and Damen so much! They are so sweet and perfect in every scene they have together!
The Adventures of Charls, the Veretian Cloth Merchant
This one was a lot of fun! I loved seeing Laurent and Damen undercover again, except from Charls’s perspective! And that ending was great!
I didn’t know this was something I needed until I read it! Ancel is honest with his words and it’s perfection! And seriously, I need a full-length novel on Ancel and Berenger!
I definitely recommend checking this collection out if you loved the Captive Prince Trilogy!
His identity now revealed, Damen must face his master Prince Laurent as Damianos of Akielos, the man Laurent has sworn to kill.
On the brink of a momentous battle, the future of both their countries hangs in the balance. In the south, Kastor’s forces are massing. In the north, the Regent’s armies are mobilising for war. Damen’s only hope of reclaiming his throne is to fight together with Laurent against their usurpers.
Forced into an uneasy alliance the two princes journey deep into Akielos, where they face their most dangerous opposition yet. But even if the fragile trust they have built survives the revelation of Damen’s identity—can it stand against the Regent’s final, deadly play for the throne?
Not much I can say besides this was one of the best series I’ve ever read! Damen and Laurent were absolute perfection. They were swoon and they were emotion and they were beautiful!
There are reveals that had me excited and other reveals I wasn’t expecting! I can’t express how much I love the world the author has built here. Yes, it’s dark, but yes, it’s awesome! And the side characters were wonderful, too!
Overall, this is a series I could read over and over again! My only complaint is I wanted an epilogue, but I’ll get to read that in the short story collection!
With their countries on the brink of war, Damen and his new master, Prince Laurent, must exchange the intrigues of the palace for the sweeping might of the battlefield as they travel to the border to avert a lethal plot.
Forced to hide his identity, Damen finds himself increasingly drawn to the dangerous, charismatic Laurent. But as the fledgling trust between the two men deepens, the truth of secrets from both their pasts is poised to deal them the crowning death blow . . .
After book one, I had to dive straight into this bad boy. And seriously, it was even better than Captive Prince!
Damen, I love you! And Laurent, you have my heart! My sweet, sweet boys! The tension and angst between these two was perfect and on fire!
There were twists and betrayals and awesomeness and sadness and a lot of me with my eyes wide while reading!
Pacat has built an incredible world full of nightmares and treasures and I just need more! Can’t wait to read the last book!
Damen is a warrior hero to his people, and the rightful heir to the throne of Akielos. But when his half brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity, and sent to serve the prince of an enemy nation as a pleasure slave.
Beautiful, manipulative, and deadly, his new master, Prince Laurent, epitomizes the worst of the court at Vere. But in the lethal political web of the Veretian court, nothing is as it seems, and when Damen finds himself caught up in a play for the throne, he must work together with Laurent to survive and save his country.
For Damen, there is just one rule: never, ever reveal his true identity. Because the one man Damen needs is the one man who has more reason to hate him than anyone else…
Holy toledo! This book was so freaking addicting! I especially loved the world that was created here, even though it was a super dark one!
Damen is in a crap hole of a mess because of his half brother making himself king after letting everyone believe Damen is dead! Damen is now a slave in his enemy country where he can’t reveal who he really is because he risks getting killed.
Laurent is a real something. I don’t know what exactly but I loved him! There was a lot of shocking moments that even had me raising my eyebrows! But I just couldn’t put this one down! I’m seriously yearning for book 2!
