Goodreads Summary:

It’s almost Christmas, and Kringle knows he’s been a good boy this year; even though he sometimes barks at the other dogs, and he never listens when the people at the pound tell him “no.” But it’s not his fault; Kringle is deaf, and he can’t hear people when they are telling him something important. This year, all Kringle wants is to find somewhere to live where others understand him. Will Santa give Kringle his Christmas wish? My Review:

I love Savy’s Furever Home Friends’ books! I just really, really like the tone they set for kids because they are honest and real yet still ridiculously cute!

Like humans, dogs aren’t always perfect. They’ll do things that make you mad and irritated, yet they can also offer great companionship. Kringle, the dog MC, also has a disability and sometimes with those animals or even people, you may have to work a little harder with, but they are equally as amazing.

The art work was lovely and I know my daughter would love it! Can’t wait to see what the next book in this series brings!

Title: Princess Allee & Smile, Chewie

Author: Savy Leiser

Date of Publication: August 11th, 2017

Princes Allee

ALLEE COVER REVEAL

Goodreads Summary for Princess Allee:

While living at the shelter, Allee, a black lab puppy, dreams of being a princess. When a stylish young woman comes to adopt her, Allee thinks her dream is about to come true! But Allee soon learns that her new suburban life doesn’t include castles or crowns. It includes two dog brothers that she has to learn to get along with! Can Allee learn to feel like royalty even when living the average life?

My Review:

I loved loved the artwork in this book! If you have kids or love reading picture books, then check this one out! This book is a great learning tool for kids or adults that want a pet. Maybe you should think about getting one from a shelter because there are so many pets there that deserve to be in a home rather than a cage.

This book isn’t just seriousness though, it’s cute and has playful scenes and can help kids to think about things. It also shows that when you adopt a dog, it takes them a little bit to get used to their new home. Definitely a win for a picture book!

Smile, Chewie

CHEWIE COVER REVEAL

Goodreads Summary for Smile, Chewie:

Despite Chewie’s friendly personality, he’s too shy to let the shelter volunteers take his picture! See, Chewie is stuck with scars on his face after the abuse he suffered as a puppy, from a man who was prejudiced against pit bulls. Can Chewie find the confidence to stand up to these awful pit bull stereotypes, and smile for the camera?

My Review:

Smile, Chewie I feel like is an excellent book for kids because it shows real life aspects done in a way that they can understand. When you adopt an animal from a shelter, they need to realize not all the animals come from the best of places. This does not mean that they are a bad animal, it means that this is a second chance for them to get a good home.

There are some sad parts, but there are some happy parts, too. This is a book about second chances, and the pictures inside are amazing and match perfectly with the sentences. A perfect read for kids that love dogs!
