Title: Kringle’s Christmas
Author: Savy Leiser
Date of Publication: November 23rd, 2018
It’s almost Christmas, and Kringle knows he’s been a good boy this year; even though he sometimes barks at the other dogs, and he never listens when the people at the pound tell him “no.” But it’s not his fault; Kringle is deaf, and he can’t hear people when they are telling him something important. This year, all Kringle wants is to find somewhere to live where others understand him. Will Santa give Kringle his Christmas wish? Kringle’s Christmas is the 4th book in The Furever Home Friends series. The Furever Home Friends is a series of books based on real rescue dogs and their stories finding happiness, love, and human companionship. Each book contains a set of discussion questions for kids, their parents, and their teachers to discuss the issues presented in the book. This book’s discussion questions focus on hearing difficulties and communication differences.10% of profits from all Furever Home Friends books go to animal shelters. I love Savy’s Furever Home Friends’ books! I just really, really like the tone they set for kids because they are honest and real yet still ridiculously cute!
Like humans, dogs aren’t always perfect. They’ll do things that make you mad and irritated, yet they can also offer great companionship. Kringle, the dog MC, also has a disability and sometimes with those animals or even people, you may have to work a little harder with, but they are equally as amazing.
The art work was lovely and I know my daughter would love it! Can’t wait to see what the next book in this series brings!
