Lyrics & Curses Release Day!

Ahhhhh it’s Lyrics & Curses release day! It’s my 80s paranormal romance book baby, full of nostalgia and fun! I seriously hope you enjoy meeting Lark and Auden because I love them so much!

Purchase!

Lark Espinoza could get lost in her music—and she’s not so sure anyone in her family would even care to find her. Her trendy, party-loving twin sister and her mother-come-lately Beth, who’s suddenly sworn off men and onto homemaking, don’t understand her love of cassette tapes, her loathing of the pop scene, or her standoffish personality. For outcast Lark, nothing feels as much like a real home as working at Bubble’s Oddities store and trying to attract the attention of the cute guy who works at the Vinyl shop next door—the same one she traded lyrical notes with in class.

Auden Ellis silences the incessant questions in his own head with a steady stream of beats. Despite the unconditional love of his aunt-turned-mother, he can’t quit thinking about the loss of his parents—or the possibility he might end up afflicted with his father’s issues. Despite his connection with lyric-loving Lark, Auden keeps her at arm’s length because letting her in might mean giving her a peek into something dangerous.

When two strangers arrive in town, one carrying a mysterious, dark object and the other playing an eerie flute tune, Lark and Auden find that their painful pasts have enmeshed them in a cursed future. Now, they must come to terms with their budding attraction while helping each other challenge the reflection they see in the mirror. If they fail, they’ll be trapped for eternity in a place beyond reality.

*Set in 1985 and full of nostalgia! Perfect for fans of Stranger Things and Pretty in Pink.

Review: Stranger Things Season 3

Review:

No surprise here, but I absolutely loved season 3! I loved the old characters and the addition of some of the new ones! Especially Alexi!

Erica really stood out for me with her awesome sarcasm and Billy was still the boy I wanted to give a big hug to! And I wanted more of his backstory!! Eleven is still great and I really enjoyed seeing her friendship bond with Max, and of course her ongoing friendship with Mike.

The banter between Joyce and Hopper was on fire! Steve and Dustin were still super adorable. And Will I also wanted to give a big hug to. The special affects were pretty dang fantastic, especially with the people disintegrating into blob-like things! Give me all the horror vibes please! And after the ending I’m packed with emotion!!

First I have to say this new character was ridic but this audition tape is amazing!

My Review:

This season was just as good as the first one! I hated Steve in the first season, but he is one of my favorite characters now! Lucas’s acting improved tremendously. Will stole the show this season. I felt his acting was incredible!

I’m all about the creatures and there was definitely more of them! I was pretty excited to see Sean Astin had a role this season, because he is so awesome! Eleven is still my favorite. Dustin was hilarious! I just loved all the characters! What else can I say? I can’t wait for season 3!

My Review:

No spoilers here. All I’m going to say is I really liked season one! I hate—hate—HATE watching TV shows unless they are shows where you can pop in at any time. I find TV series stressful and annoying because you have to keep on watching. That’s why I had to end my befriending with the Walking Dead, and just watch movies instead where there can be an END!

Another pet peeve is over-hyped stuff—most of the time I’m the one that is like nope! The movie IT for example is the one that constantly pops in my head these days. So, people have kept telling me watch this show, you’ll love the eighties vibe, you’ll love the Goonies friend dynamic, you’ll LOVE IT!

The only reason I gave in was because I saw that I could get Netflix free for a month, and there wasn’t like eight seasons to try and truck my way through—I would have turned it down right then. That’s why Game of Thrones is a no go for me, don’t care how “awesome” it is.

Anyway, I thought this show was super fun, plus it wasn’t overly scifi even though it is scifi. The monsters got a heck yes from me, and Eleven is my favorite character! I didn’t know Winona had it in her to be emotional for so long, but she was excellent.
